EPA’S NEW RENOVATION, REPAIR AND PAINTING RULE (RRP) - Lead Certification
You must be certified to work in pre-1978 target housing or you can be fined up to $37,500! The rule applies to any work that involves the disturbance of lead-based paint in pre-1978 buildings, regardless, of whether the contractors or firms actually perform painting work or are labeled as painters. It is crucial therefore, for all contractors and firms performing renovation work to be familiar with the provisions of the regulation, and to ensure that they fully comply with the EPA’s requirements.

Course includes: (1 each per student)
• 6 Hours Required Classroom Curriculum
• 2 Hours Required Hands-On Training
• Course Manual
• Cleaning Verification Card
• Course Completion Photo Certificate
• Course Exam

Who needs to take this course? The rule will affect renovators who will work in covered pre-1978 target housing and child-occupied facilities, including (but not limited to):
• Renovation Contractors
• Maintenance Workers in Multi-Family Housing
• Painters
• Landlords who self-perform work
• Drywall Repair
• Plumbers
• Window & Door Repair/Replacement
• Roofers
• Electricians
