Planroom Services

• On-site Planroom – 7 Private viewing rooms with DSL internet access, 3 modular workstations and spacious tables to view blueprints with employees and co-workers.

• Break Room area – stocked with complimentary hot coffee, tea, and filtered water. Sofa, chairs, construction publications and restrooms are also available to provide a more comfortable space when you need a break.

• Free Wi-Fi access – Available in our Plan Room and our state-of-the-art NCBE Construction Training Center.

• Electronic Plan Room – Subscriptions available by calliing Matt Warner, NCBE Plan Room Director (707) 542-9502

• Additional Planroon Subscriptions - Building Permit Updates, Select Plan Service, Select List Referral Service and Daily Project Update subscriptions.

• Plan Copying Service – '24-hour' or 'While-You-Wait'

• Overnight checkout of plans with an after hours lock box

• Projects-Out-To-Bid – Provides detailed information on projects throughout the North Coast area for which full plans and specs are in NCBE plan rooms, PLUS extensive listings of bid results, building permits, projects In the Pipeline, legal notices, and the ability to search for items within these categories.

Meeting Room Rentals Available

• Classroom Rental- A classroom is available for members to use in the companion building at 1000 Apollo Way. The room size is 30' x 34' ft. and can accommodate 30 people in classroom seating or 50 people in theater-style seating. Room rental includes tables, chairs, coffee service area, large TV with video and DVD capabilities and built-in screen. It can be rented for a full day or half day. • President's Conference Room Rental - The room size is 12' x 20' and accomodates 10 to 12 comfortably. Room rental includes conference table, leather swivel chairs. FREE to NCBE members. Call (707) 542-9502 or email us for availability (reservation required).

• Construction Training Center Rental - The room size is 36' x 67' and accomodates 80 people in classroom seating, 100 people in theater-style seating or 90 people in round banquet-style seating. Room rental includes tables, chairs, coffee service area, podium with microphone, internet access, freestanding flip chart, built-in projector and screen and a large TV with video/DVD capabilities. Includes Caterer's Kitchen facilities, refrigerator, range top, oven, dishwasher, food prep-area and ice machine. It can be rented for a full day or half day. Group Health Insurance Plans

Major Medical, Dental, Vision, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Life Insurance and Disability Insurance.

Group Workers' Comp Insurance & Safety

We have a Group Workers' Comp program in partnership with State Compensation Insurance Fund that offers NCBE members a 6% discount. With over 450 participants and $8 million in premiums, it is a significant group program. Over the years it has become a priority for NCBE to offer safety-related services to our general membership and our group participants.

Group Legal Plan

Seminars & Workshops

Construction seminars and workshops are held throughout the year in the NCBE Construction Training Center. Topics covered include health and safety training, legal issues, construction Hot Topics, green building, small business management and marketing. NCBE'S goal is for its members to have continuous learning experiences in all aspects of the building industry.
